In this post, I’ll show you how to modify your world with all sorts of cool mods!
RESOURCE PACKS:
- Find somewhere to use. Go to a website like Curseforge to download both resource and behavior packs. Select Minecraft.
- Find a pack that you want. Once you’ve found it, download it.
- Open File Explorer. Go to file explorer on your computer and you should see your download there.
- Click Start + Left Arrow. This will enable half screen.
- Click Start + R. This will turn on run. Inside run, copy this and paste it:
%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\ - Click Start + Right Arrow. This will turn on the other half of the screen into the files. Double click the folder called resource_packs and drag the downloaded resource pack into the resource_packs folder from the left side of your screen to the right.
- Open Minecraft. Now, our options split into two:
Create a new world to add resource pack:
Create a new world and on the side, scroll down all the way until you see the resource packs option. Click it, then explore all the dropdowns. Click your resource that you installed, and press activate. After you create the world the resource pack should be inside the world.
Add resource to existing world:
You might want to copy your world first: Click into your world that you want to add the resource to and scroll all the way down– then click copy.
After, find the copied world in the worlds list and click the edit option (which might look like a pencil) and scroll down on the side until you see the resource packs option. Click it, then explore all the dropdowns. Click your resource that you installed, and press activate. Now when you play the world the resource should be active.
Congratulations, you’ve learned how to add your own resource packs to your world. Got anything else I should post? Comment below.
