DAY 1

Welcome to Minecraft Java. Today I’ll be showing you how to turn your average new Minecraft Java world into an insane world with awesome builds and stuff.

When you spawn, find the nearest tree or wood source and mine 3 logs. Then craft a crafting table and place it down. Craft some sticks and a wooden pickaxe. Then grab your crafting table and mine down until you hit stone. Mine 3 stone and place your crafting table again. This time craft a stone pickaxe and mine enough stone for a furnace, a sword, axe, and a shovel. (You’ll see why we need the shovel) Craft those 4 items with the stone and wood. Remember to get some extra stone for new tools in the future.

Mine dirt with your stone shovel, about two stacks, and make a small, makeshift base that can hold your furnace and crafting table. Type your coordinates in the chat so in case if something happens you can go back to it always.

Whenever you don’t have enough materials in this guide, remember to always get the materials. Even if you can’t use it now, you might need it later in your builds.

Now, get some more wood and place down a chest inside the base. The base should be 3×3 blocks in the inside, not including the walls, to fit everything. The house itself will be 5×5 blocks. You can make it bigger if you want, just remember that you will need more dirt. Remember to make a ceiling and a door, too. Also add a space to put your bed later in the game. Make sure that area is not obstructed by anything.

If it’s still daytime, you can go outside and collect materials like stone and wood. If you do go outside, remember to kill some sheep for a bed later. If it’s nighttime already, you can wait inside your base until it’s daytime, or if you’re a daredevil you can go outside and kill mobs for materials that you might need later. If you happen to die on accident, look in the chat and go back to the coordinates you typed earlier.

Note: When you’re waiting inside your base, try to limit jumping and running because you get hungrier when you do.

DAY 2

Now it’s daytime! Today we will focus on getting food, a bed, more materials and change our base location. First go outside and use your stone sword to kill any sheep there is. Find as much animals as you can and kill them to get food. Don’t go too far away from the base in case you die, and you can’t find your way back.

When you have at least 3 of one type of color wool, then go back to your base and craft a bed. Then put food into the furnace and smelt it with wood. Once it’s done smelting, take it out and eat it. Remember to smelt all your food. While the food’s smelting, use your shovel to take down the whole base (optional) and the crafting table. Once the food’s done smelting, mine your furnace and venture off to find a better location.

What is a Better Location?

When starting, you’ll need a water source like a river, ocean, pond, or any water source that is Minecraft “Infinite” (can be harvested from infinite times)

Next, you need to fulfill the first requirement AND make sure that there’s space to build your base.

After, you need to make sure to fulfill the first and second requirements. Then, make sure that the place has materials nearby. You don’t want to build your base in a place that has no wood!

Lastly, make sure you have fulfilled the first, second, and third requirements. Then make sure that the place has a cave nearby so that you can get essential materials later on.

Now that you’ve found the perfect place to build your base say the coordinates inside chat again and start building. Make sure you have cobblestone and planks. Don’t make your base out of dirt because you’ll be staying here for the next couple posts, so make sure you’re comfortable! When the base is built, remember to put the bed, furnace, crafting table, and at least two chests. Right click your bed to set your spawn. When it gets night, remember to sleep.

DAY 3

Today if you haven’t finished your base yet you should finish it now. Collect food, stone, and wood because you just used a lot of these three materials. Once again, don’t go too far from the base in case if you die and you can’t find your way there. When it’s night, return to the base and remember to smelt food if you got food.

Now it’s night. This is the last time I’m saying it that you can go outside and kill mobs for items, if you die then you can look in the chat for the coordinates that you typed earlier.

Sleep in your bed if you prefer not to kill mobs, and now it’s day!

DAY 4

It’s been four days in this world already. Today, we will go mining for materials!
Get these items before we leave to cave:
2 Stone Pickaxes
Plenty of Food
A Bed (DON’T DESTROY THE BED INSIDE YOUR CURRENT HOUSE)
1 – 3 Furnaces

But before we go mine, we need torches. Collect logs and don’t turn them into planks. Smelt the logs using planks to make charcoal. Get at least 8 charcoal and craft torches like you would with coal, replacing coal with charcoal.

After you’re ready, double check to make sure you didn’t leave any materials behind. Go into the cave nearby that you found while trying to fulfill the Fourth Requirement. Go into the cave, use the bed to set your spawn, and mine the coal, iron, copper (optional) and lapis. If there isn’t any of these or it’s missing some of the types I’ve listed, then it’s fine. Once you’re done, mine the bed and go back to your house and set your spawn point at your house bed. Also, smelt all the minerals you found. If the cave was a dead end and you didn’t find anything, don’t worry.

IF YOU DIDN’T FIND ANY MINERALS:
Head back to the house and build a 1 block staircase downwards. Once you feel like you’ve reached a good level, mine forwards and mine out a little room down there. (10×10). Then go upstairs and sleep in your bed. Tomorrow, I’ll show you the purpose of mining a 10×10 area down there.

DAY 5

It’s officially reached DAY 5, a milestone. Go outside and collect one flower. Put a 3×3 mini plateau of dirt outside. Place the flower down because today is day 5.

Okay, time to get to serious business. Go back to your mine and (if you haven’t) finish mining the 10×10 area out. This is going to be your underground area! Make sure the visible height is 4 blocks. If you want, you can get your bed and place it down there because down there won’t have any you can’t sleep now because monsters are nearby messages. Decorate the area down there with a variety of blocks that you found, furnaces, crafting tables, essentials and storage.

Replace blocks and put different blocks everywhere until you’ve got what you desired. The rest of today you should collect materials like stone, dirt, and wood. If you want, you can make another staircase that starts from your underground room to collect minerals.

DAY 6

Today will be only of collecting materials. Fill up your storage that you made in your underground mine!

DAY 7

Today will be mostly exploring structures. Make sure to loot them and don’t bring anything major with you or else you might lose it. Once you’ve found one structure that you can loot, loot it and kill animals for food on the way back to your base. If you forgot the way back, you could always look in the chat to see the coordinates of your base! When you’re back, store everything you’ve found and go caving for a little until it’s night. When it is, go sleep.

DAY 8

Time to start a farm. Craft two stone hoes and go to the water source nearby, then hoe out the dirt. While the dirt is getting damp, we can find seeds. Put the hoes away and get a sword and some food. Break grasses everywhere to collect seeds. Make sure to collect enough for all the farmland you made. While collecting seeds, you can kill animals for extra food if needed. Return to the now damp soil and right click to plant the seeds in. Then get some blocks from your chest and expand your house. You will need this extra upper ground area later for a nether portal. The expansion should be 100% cobblestone / no burnable blocks. Cobblestone is recommended due to its abundancy, easy to collect and unburnable properties.

DAY 9

Today we’ll create a nether portal. Go mining and venture deeper to bedrock. Make sure to bring a few buckets with you. When you find lava, collect some for the nether portal. Go back out of your mine and in the newly expanded area of your house, place lava where obsidian should usually be. Make sure it doesn’t burn your house down. When you placed the lava down, go to the water source nearby and use your now empty buckets to place water into the lava buckets. Repeat this process until the obsidian frame is complete.

Note: If you would rather mine for diamonds to mine the obsidian instead of collecting it with buckets, you can if you want. I think this process is faster and easier, but your choice.

Now, mine gravel to get flint. Use 1 iron and 1 flint to create a flint and steel, then light up the nether portal. Next time we will explore the nether.

DAY 10

Today will be the last day of this post, and also the second multiple of five. Find another unique flower that isn’t like the one on the small plateau you created and place it down on another block of the plateau you created.

Today you don’t need to work. Do whatever you want, collect food, get killed a bunch of times by fire, whatever you want.

THE END… or is it?
