Trying everything to make powered numbers is a huge pain– especially when you’re trying to write e=mc2 when it turns into e=mc2. So let’s start!
First, open Microsoft Word (or an advanced text editor) but I will be using Microsoft Word, aka Word, today.
Make a new document so that you can write, copy, and paste. (I’ll turn my text size up to 48 so you can see better in the images below.)

Write whatever you want. In the image above, it shows the words ‘Okay!’ but I’m going to make it e=mc so that we can add the power 2.
Inside of the bar above, (where you can change your text size and stuff) click the x2 button.

Click back to your text (in my case it is e=mc) and start typing. It will be typed as a power! The size of the power depends on the size of your text size.

To get out of this mode, click the x2 button again.
